The case is rectangular in form, with chamfered front & rear edges & is decorated with a very fine engine turned engraving.

This is a solid silver christening set in it's original fitted case, made up by the retailer from various Birmingham silversmiths, & all pieces fully hallmarked for Birmingham c1938.

This is a little alabaster ashtray (or pin dish) mounted with a cold painted spelter group of a Blue Tit & her 2 chicks, similar in style & construction to the Art Deco period Spelter figure trays, but perhaps a little later, circa late 1930's / 40's.
