This is a job lot of three Edwardian sterling silver Brooches, two hallmarked & one unmarked. The first brooch is the type of brooch worn at the neck or collar in Edwardian times. It is nicely detailed with a floral engraved, circular centrepiece. The brooch is of hollow construction with a 'c' clasp, & is unmarked. The second one is a bar brooch with an intertwined horseshoe. It is of hollow construction with a 'c' clasp, & is hallmarked with the makers mark 'P&T', & the lion passant (925 sterling). The town mark & the date letter have not been struck (common on small pieces of silver of this period), but the cartouche of the lion passant, is the one used in Birmingham from 1901 to 1925. The third brooch is formed as a wishbone with 6 trailing flowers. It is of hollow construction & fully hallmarked with the makers mark 'RJW', the lion passant (925 sterling), the wheatsheafs (Chester), & the date letter 'D' (1904 - 05). Brooch 1 : Excellent condition, approx length is 4.7 cm. Brooch 2 : small bruise on L/H bar (please see magnified photos). Approx length is 4.3 cm. Brooch 3 : The 'C' clasp is missing (easily replaced, the brooch still closes with the pin between the ends of the wishbone). Approx length is 3.7 cm.
