Silver Napkin / Serviette Ring 'KJ' London 1945

This is a George VI, heavy solid sterling silver napkin or serviette ring, by the English silversmiths Roberts & Dore, & fully hallmarked for London 1945.

The ring is of a plain design & has the engraved initials 'K.J'.

The ring is fully hallmarked with the makers mark 'R & D' (for Roberts & Dore), the leopards head (London), the lion passant (925 sterling), & the date letter 'K' (for 1945 - 46).

The ring is approx 1 1/4" high & 1 3/4" in diameter (3.2 cm x 4.4 cm), and weighs 47.8 g, 1.69 oz, or 1.54 Troy.

Condition is excellent, there is just the normal, very light surface marks associated with a 65 year old ring - please see the magnified photographs.

All in all, a solid, heavy quality ring from the end of the WW II period.
