This is a Scottish Silver Toddy or Sauce ladle, made during the reign of William IV by the silversmith George White (or Wilson), & fully hallmarked for Glasgow 1831. The ladle is of the Fiddle or Oar pattern, with the terminal bearing the engraved monogram 'H'. The bowl is circular, with a flat(ish) bottom. The ladle is fully hallmarked to the rear with the makers mark 'G.W' (George White or Wilson - Jackson's page 576), the George head (Duty mark), the tree, fish, & bell (Glasgow), the Lion Rampant (925 sterling), & the date letter 'M' (1831 - 32). Condition is Fine, with no dings, dents, repairs, or erasures. The hallmarks are crisp. The ladle measures approx 17.7 cm (7"), with a bowl diameter of approx 4.5 cm (1 3/4"). The weight is 38.2 g, 1.35 oz, or 1.22 Troy. Overall, a nice 177 year old Scottish ladle, of good proportions, & in Fine condition.
