This is an original vintage pewter & leather mounted glass hip flask / cup, advertising D & J McCallums 'Perfection' Scotch Whisky, and dating to around the 1920's.

The upper half of the flask is covered in a textured brown leather, with a long 'cut out' viewing or level window at either side.

The lower half of the flask has a slide off pewter cup. One side of the cup is embossed with 'D & J. McCALLUM'S Perfection SCOTCH WHISKY', & the other side has an embossed 'brandy type' bottle of Perfection whisky with Edinburgh, Birmingham, & London on the label.

The flask has a screw on pewter lid, which is cork lined with cross-hatching to the rim.

Condition is fine;

The glass has no chips, cracks, or hairlines, just a few expected surface marks where the cup slides on.

The pewter cup is fine & a tight fit, with no dings or dents to the body. There is light wear to the base & I have not cleaned or polished it.

The leather is very good & the stitching is perfect. The colour has darkened through handling & there are a few, very light surface marks.

I have tested the flask with water, & there are absolutely no leaks etc.

The flask is approx 5 1/2" or 14cm tall.
