This is a pair of 12" Victorian brass ejector candlesticks in a 'Beehive & Diamond' pattern, almost certainly English in origin (probably produced by James Clew & Sons of Birmingham), & dating to around 1890. The sticks have cut corner square bases, an unusual 'upside down' beehive, and an octagonal 'diamond' pattern knob towards the top of the stem. Both sticks have their original push-up ejection mechanisms (rods & buttons) which are in full working order (although a little stiff). Condition of the sticks is Fine. The only points to note are that there are a few spots of tarnishing, & that the base of one stick 'rocks' a little on a flat surface (around 4mm) . Each stick is approx 12" tall (approx 30.4cm), with a base measurement of approx 4 1/4" square (approx 10.7cm). Overall, a fine pair of large Victorian candlesticks, in fine condition for their 120 years.
