This is a large serving platter or dish by Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery Co, & dating to around the 1930's.

The platter is a very light green / cream in colour with an embossed 'scalloped' design.

The platter is decorated with a gilt rim, gilt 'star' designs, & a dark green & gilt band to the top of the 'bowl'.

The platter is fully backstamped with 'Clarice Cliff, NEWPORT POTTERY Co ENGLAND, REGD NO 840076.

Condition is Fine with no chips, cracks or crazing & very minimal wear to the gilding. There are three very small grazes to the glazing on the base rim, but this does not affect the platter in any way.

The platter measures approx 13 3/4" long & 10 5/8" wide (at widest points) or approx 35cm & 27cm.

The platter is rather heavy at over 1 Kg unpacked so collection is welcome (Delivery in the West Lothian / Edinburgh area is possible - please e-mail).
