This is a late Edwardian / early George V period Silver Ring Tree, made by the renowned silversmiths James Deakin & Sons, & fully hallmarked for Chester 1910. The base of the ring tree is in the form of a hexagonal dish or tray with a cast, rococco style, swag & stylised shell design to the rim. The dish has a domed bowl with a ring stand, in the form of a six branched tree, in the centre. The ring tree is fully hallmarked fo the bowl with the makers mark 'JD over WD' (James Deakin & Sons), the lion passant (925 Sterling), the wheatsheafs (Chester), & the date letter 'K' (1910 - 11). Condition is Fine. The only point to note is a minuscule bruise to the edge of the bowl. The base of the ring tree is approx 4" (approx 10.2cm) at the widest point, & stands approx 3" high (approx 7.7cm). PLEASE NOTE : We are based in Scotland, UK.
