This is an Arcadian China miniature crested ware vase, fully backstamped & with additional retailers stamp, & dating to between 1904 - 1924. The front of the vase is decorated with the crest of THE ROYAL BURGH OF ANNAN, with the letters W**I*P**M clockwise around the crest. The base has the printed 'A&S Stoke on Trent' ARCADIAN CHINA mark, which was used from 1904 until 1924. There is also the hand painted numbers 144 over 111, & the retailers stamp 'JOHN MURRAY, STATIONER, ANNAN'. Condition is fine, with no damage other than rubbing to the gilding around the rim. The vase measures approx 2" or 5.1cm high. |
