This is an Art Deco style, Solid Silver Dunhill White Spot cigarette holder, complete with 5 coloured bakelite? Dunhill interchangeable mouthpieces / tips & all in the original fitted case, & fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1954. The solid Silver holder is hexagonal in form, tapering towards the top, & with a screw fitting at one end for the mouth piece. The holder has an all over, engine turned design in Dunhill's Barley pattern. The mouthpieces are made of some form of bakelite / plastic, & all are marked 'DUNHILL' & all have an inset white spot. The colours are Black, Green, Red, Blue, & Charcoal?. The hinged case is covered in a faux Burgundy leather, & opens to reveal a silk lined lid & a fitted velvet base, with four pegs to hold the additional mouthpieces. The interior lid is gold blocked with the Royal Warrant 'BY APPOINTMENT, TOBACCONISTS TO THE LATE KING GEORGE VI' & 'dunhill, LONDON'. The holder is fully hallmarked with the makers mark 'AD' in a lozenge (Alfred Dunhill), the lion passant (925 Sterling), the anchor (Birmingham), & the date letter 'e' (1954 - 55). The opposite side carries the lion passant & date letter. Condition is Fine, with absolutely no damage. The tips are fine, without any marks, although the Green one has been used. The fitted case is Fine, with only two small surface marks to the lid. The holder measures approx 4" in length (approx 10.2cm).
