This is a matching pair of solid Silver Toast Racks, by the renowned silversmiths Barker Bros, & each fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1939.

Each rack has five bars / four divisions, the bars having an angular arched form with the central bar having a matching carrying handle.

The racks are fully hallmarked with the makers mark 'B.B over S.LD' (Barker Brothers Silver Ltd), the anchor (Birmingham), the lion passant (925 Sterling), & the date letters : 'O' (1938 - 39) on one rack & 'P' (1939 - 40) on the other.

The racks measure approx 2 7/8" in length, 2 1/8" wide, & 2 5/8" in height, including the handle (approx 7.5cm x 5.4cm x 6.8cm).

The combined weight is a substantial 115.8 g, 4.08 oz, or 3.72 Troy.

Condition is fine, with no dents, dings, or repairs.
