1972 BULOVA Ambassador Date Automatic Watch Box Papers

This is a 1972 Bulova Ambassador automatic wristwatch in working condition, fitted with a new leather croc effect strap but with it's original Bulova steel strap, & complete with it's original box & papers.

The watch has a steel case, a silver coloured dial, silver colour hour markers with luminous dots above, luminous tipped hour / minute hands, a sweep hand, & a date window. The crystal is cracked between 3 & 5 o'clock, & would be better replaced.

The dial is marked 'BULOVA, Ambassador, AUTOMATIC, & SWISS MADE'. The crown is also marked BULOVA.

The rear of the case is marked 'BULOVA', 'STAINLESS STEEL', '3-411683' (case number which matches the papers), & 'N2' (date code for 1972).

The watch comes with it's original box, original Bulova steel strap, world service booklet, guarantee registration booklet, & operating instructions booklet (which shows the quick date & instant date setting).

Although the watch is a 1972 (N2) model, the registration booklet shows that it was initially sold in 1976.

Condition : The watch is running & keeping time although, as with all vintage watches, would probably benefit from a service. The case has expected light surface marks, the rear of the case is slightly rubbed, & the crystal is scratched & has a crack (a replacement crystal would greatly enhance the watch).

The watch measures approx 3.5cm across (excluding the crown).
