This is a Nautilus Porcelain Co miniature crested ware vase, fully backstamped, & dating to between 1901 - 1913. The front of the vase is decorated with the ARMS OF CRIEFF. The base has the printed NAUTILIS PORCELAIN mark, which was used from 1901 until 1913. The Nautilus Porcelain Co (based in Glasgow, Scotland) was in existence from 1896 - 1913, but from 1898 - 1901 the firm was restyled as the Possil Pottery Co. Condition is fine, with no damage other than light rubbing to the gilding around the rim. The vase measures approx 1 7/8" or 4.8cm high. |
